Melissa Bennett
Melissa is an artist, librarian and filmmaker from North Carolina. She graduated with a degree in Film from Boston University and returned in 2019 as an adjunct film professor. Her film “Butterflies” won second place for outstanding direction at the 2018 Redstone Film Festival.
In addition, Melissa has a Master’s degree in Library Science from Syracuse University and has worked as a teen and children’s librarian for over a decade.
Melissa’s passion for librarianship and serving her community has led her to make many successful programs for teens and children, including film clubs, subscription boxes, art classes and more.
Melissa also loves creating folded book art, reading, and her black cat Friday.
